The Soul of the Singer
My Spiritual Musical Journey
It was during the early years of my life that I discovered that singing, and listening to music could put a smile on my face or bring tears to my eyes; sometimes at the same time. There were musical contrasts such as the strong Gospel tones on Sunday mornings; the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, the Jackson Five and many other Motown Greats, and the great Sounds eminating from Philly, PA, and other parts of the country. Although the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Beegees, the Beach Boys, etc. added contrast, all that made it to the Top Ten, and stayed awhile evoked consistent emotions from me, and many others during a very emotional, turbulent time. The Jazz greats also weighed in heavily, and deeply touched the wounded parts of my soul with healing symphonic and rhytmic tones.
Almost a lifetime of enjoying music, and allowing it to heal my soul, this journey of life filled with music and emotions has brought me to where I am today on my Spiritual Journey. So I confess I am here to pay it forward; to share some of what I experienced through music that was life sustaining. May it sustain you through your journey of life, and give you emotions that you can feel, touch and taste; Pure Joy!

PS: Thanks be to God for the many opportunities to hone my singing skills while grinding in a career and jobs to support myself and two children.
They are now both adults with their own families; so I am going full speed in with my passion for singing!
Singing from the young age of nine I began this journey as a member of school choirs, church choirs, local R&B bands, as a member of the Ad-LIBS (Boy from NYC), Jazz bands. I had the wonderful, growth promoting opportunity of studying with the magnificiant Jazz Pianist, Sir Barry Harris. I have performed in local musicals, and for ten years supported, performed in musicals, and traveled Internationally with the performing arts youth group, Faith-in-Action, directed by Dr. Amy Dean.
For the past seven years I have been affiliated, and performed as lead vocalist with Jeff Jones and the Jazz Men, a Philly based popular Jazz group who are known for performing John Coltrane and other Hard Bop/Jazz tunes.
This have developed my ability to sing genres ranging from classical, contemporary, Gospel, R& B to Jazz and the Blues..
My Motto is:
"Music should enhance life, and bring enjoyment to all who embrace the musical moments that are captured."
